Designed for Remington 870 12-gauge shotguns, the SpecOps NRS stock starts with an adjustable length-of-pull, which includes five adjustment positions (from 11.25 to 15.25 inches). If aesthetic is what you're after, this product is a great value. It is relatively lower in cost when compared to other similar style stocks. However, when you take into consideration the PUNCH packed by a 12 gauge shotgun, you may want to skip this product and shell out the extra money for a Blackhawk SpecOps RECOIL SUPRESSING stock. The NRS model is NON recoil suppressing, meaning it does not include the set of springs which absorb most of the force from the shotgun recoil. With the NRS model, your shoulder does all the force-absorbing. So, if you want a lower-priced stock that looks cool, this is definitely a good choice. It's sturdy and does not wobble or rattle. However, if you want a stock that performs well AND looks cool.... I'd definitely suggest avoiding this one and purchasing a RECOIL SUPPRESSING... I do not get to shoot often, so I haven't had a chance to see how it feels and holds up under pressure, but installation is quick and painless. The forend isn't worth your time to install however. The 870 will take you 15-20 minutes to replace the forend, and I think the one that comes with this one is pretty ugly. I bought the Mako forend with picatinny rails and I love it! When replacing the forend, if you don't know what you're doing, make sure you check out some online tutorials (they're easy to find). Great product, my 870 looks great and feels more ready for HD. I spent a few months researching these low-end air rifles. The Phantom seemed to stand out a little bit above the rest so i went with it. I found it at Wal-mart for $80 without the scope. The scope that comes with this in the combo pack was not reviewed very well by many sources. I also don't like using scopes and would not use it anyway so why pay for it. Also, there have been complaints by some that this was advertised as a 1200fps rifle and when they got it found out it is actually 1000fps. The quality you have come to expect from Crosman products come through in this peice. Quality craftsmanship, sturdy construction, pinpoint accuaracy. Where the Phantom ramps up the bar standard: is in power. No more enless pumping your old classic 650 bb gun for a measley 600 ft/sec. One cock on the break barrel, and you will impressed sending a variety of .177 pellets downrange at 1000 ft/sec and up to 1200 ft/sec with the matched pbd ammo. I was able to kill a groundhog INSTANTLY with a head shot from about 30 yards, with a hollow point pellet (not included). The ONE draw back, as you will see in other reviews, is a rather dispointing rear sight. Small red True Glow strands dont give much illumination, and the windage adjustment is rather clunky and not at all up to the quality of the rest of the gun. The front sight is much much better.
