I installed this on my Remington 870. The vertical pistol grip acts as a lever and will over-torque your action bars within a few cocks. This will require replacement of the part. Apparently it is a general rule to never put vertical fore ends on shotguns. You'd be better off getting a quality stock and leaving the fore end alone rather than this combo deal. I got this stock/forend kit as a Christmas gift and it looks and works absolutely perfect on my 870 Wingmaster. The stock fits perfectly and feels very solid. I've seen a previous review where they said it was a bit loose, but it could have just been something with that particular gun. When I removed my old stock there was a washer on it, I removed that washer and used it on the new stock and it was a snug fit. I love the forend too, you have to tighten it down quite a bit to keep it from rotating on you, the trickiest part is getting it snug while keeping the forened "centered", as it will rotate slightly from side to side as you tighten the nut down. The vertical front grip is excellent as well, feels very solid and natural when carrying the gun around. My only regret is that I didn't ask for this kit for Christmas last year.
