I have a 'shorty' AEG that I wanted to upgrade to our woodland field's legal limits (400fps w' .25g BB's). With a short barrel, that means a strong spring, a torque motor and a lipo battery. With this kind of setup, the gun started eating standard polycarb pistons for lunch. After a couple shattered pistons, I upgraded to this one and haven't had a problem since.

This item is built very well. I currently have a JG SAS-G airsoft gun and had a problem with my previous piston where to bolt came out of the Piston head. This resulted in damage to the old Piston head. Piston was fine but I decided to go with a all aluminum head and piston. Adding this with the JBU JA12 Light Weight Piston Head gave my gun more accuracy and my FPS went up significantly! I was joking with my fellow airsoft players about upgrading to a 130 spring and they told me my gun hurt enough. We were comparing whose gun had the best accuracy distance wise and my gun won hands down. Not sure what the FPS is but I am very impressed!!!
